16L Air Fryer FAQs

What Is The Best Size Air Fryer To Buy?

If you’re thinking of getting an air fryer, the size you choose will depend on a few things, such as how often you’re planning o use it and how many people you’ll be using it to cook for. If you’re cooking for a family of 6 or more, you’ll want as big of an air fryer as you can get – 16 litres should be enough.

Can You Cook A Whole Chicken In A 16L Air Fryer?

To cook a whole chicken in an air fryer, you’ll need to look for a more sizable appliance. A 6 to 10-litre air fryer should do the trick, depending on how large of a chicken you’re planning to cook.

How Big Of An Air Fryer Do I Need For A Family Of 6?

Cooking for 6 or more people means preparing a sizable portion of food. For this, you’re definitely going to want a larger air fryer. To ensure you have enough space to cook food for 6 people, we recommend that you choose an air fryer that has at least 6 litres of space. However, getting an even larger fryer, such as a 16 litre one, will give you ample space to cook as much food as you like.

Is An Air Fryer Worth It?

Is this appliance worth it? Well, it puts out food that’s ultra-crispy and healthy within a matter of minutes. Isn’t that just about enough to make it worth it?

How Does An Air Fryer Work?

Air fryers heat up deliciously crispy foods using a convection mechanism. Inside, it contains a heating element that transmits heat to the food drawer and a strong fan that works to circulate the air around the food, ensuring even cooking. When you’re ready to cook, you place the food in the enclosed cooking chamber – it may seem compact, but it was actually designed this way to speed up the cooking process. Then you simply key in your preferred cooking settings (which will depend on the food you’re cooking), hit the start button, and the air fryer begins to cook your delicacy.

Is Eating Air Fried Food Healthy?

Generally speaking, food cooked in an air fryer is healthier when compared to traditional oil frying methods. Air frying your food cuts the number of calories and fats you consume. However, eating too much fried food – even food cooked in an air fryer – is not healthy.

Is There Any Heating Element At The Bottom Of The 12L Air Fryer Oven?

No, heating element is at the top of the air fryer, Hot air circulates around the rest of the oven which gives you shorter cooking times.

  2. Natalia

Couldn’t imagine it not being in my kitchen and part of my routine. My favourite kitchen appliance!

I bought this as a replacement for my halogen oven which broke after two years which seems to be fairly standard with them as I have had a few over the years. As with everything technology has moved on so I thought I should. I read the reviews which were quite good. It was a lot more expensive than the halogen oven but with electric prices going up I hope d it would be an investment. There are no instructions on how to cook in it which would have been useful, there are however touch screen symbols for the basic items which automatically select a cooking time and temperature which is useful. I was a bit dubious about the time it took to spit roast a chicken (35 minutes) but gave it a go. The chicken was cooked perfectly and still moist. I decided to go a step further and made biscuits and a cake they were perfect, better than my fan oven cooked them. I’ve only had it for ten days and it’s been used in place of my big oven. It’s perfect for two not sure if it would work for a family but for us it’s perfect. Sits nicely on the worktop not too intrusive. I do give it a clean on the inside after each use to stop any grease buildup, just a wipe with a damp cloth seems to be working which is easy enough. So far I am really pleased with it especially when it saves on the electric bill.

Well built, useful size and easy to use.

I’m reviewing this after just one day of owning it and after one roast. I have to say my first impressions are good. It is quite large but the white colour means it doesn’t dominate on the worktop. It is easy to use and the instructions are clear and concise.

I have done one rotisserie chicken in it so far and I can tell straight away that this was worth the price. It cooked a 1.8Kg chicken to perfection in just over 50 minutes. The texture and flavour, when done on the rotisserie, are definitely different, and I think better than when done in a standard fan oven.

The machine is quite a in use and was very easy to clean afterwards.

Things you should be aware of. The worktop underneath gets extremely hot as does anything within three or four inches of the bottom vents. Consider standing it on a protective mat.

So far I think it is a good purchase. I’ll update this review if anything changes my opinion.

  5. Susan Cruickshanks

Absolutely fantastic appliance. Does everything to perfection. Do not use my fan oven now. Had this for 2 years now still going strong. And also saved me soo much in electric bills.
