How to Use a Coffee Maker For the Perfect Cup

A good cup of coffee in the morning is one of the few pure pleasures in the world, wouldn’t you agree? The rich aroma, the comforting warmth, the kick of caffeine. For many of us, coffee is the way that we start the day. At Innoteck, we want you to start your days on a high note.

That’s why we’ve put together this guide on how to use a coffee machine to make the perfect cup of coffee. We also have an extra trick to froth milk without a milk frother, so you’ll be making glorious cappuccino’s in no time! Keep reading to find out how.

Guide on How to Use a Coffee Machine

Modern coffee makers are impressive little machines and handle most of the coffee-making trouble for us. With an Innoteck coffee maker, you don’t need to spend five minutes grinding your beans before even getting started – it takes care of all that for you.

In this guide, we’ll look at the steps that you can use with our coffee makers. While not all coffee makers are made equal, these steps should help you to successfully brew a cup on just about any machine. Simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Get what you need

First things first, you’ll want to take out everything you need for your morning brew. Your favourite mug, coffee beans (or ground coffee, either work with our machines), milk and sugar.

Step 2: Make sure there’s enough water in the tank

Every coffee machine has a water tank that it uses to make hot water before directing it through the coffee filter. If there is not enough water in the tank, you’ll hear some unpleasant noises, and you may damage the machine. So it is best to always make sure there is enough water before switching on the machine.

Step 3: Place your coffee filter in the holder

Our coffee machines have a reusable coffee filter, so you don’t have to buy new filters every time you want a cup of java. So with our machine, simply slide the filter basket into the holder until it snaps into place. If you’re using a different machine, lay the filter down.

Step 4: Pour in your coffee

Next, pour in your beans! Innoteck coffee machines can utilise either full beans or ground coffee, as it has a built-in burr grinder, so you can choose your favourite. However, to get a really fresh cup with a great aroma, we recommend using beans. You can’t get any fresher than beans ground right before it filters into your mug.

Step 5: Place your mug under the spout

Don’t forget your mug! There’s nothing sadder than your fresh coffee spilling all over the counter or into the drip tray. Our bean to cup coffee machine comes with a 400ml travel flask, for if you’re on the go, so you can use this. Otherwise, our bean to jug coffee maker has a 750ml jug which will allow you to make multiple cups of coffee, and you’ll never forget about the mug.

Step 6: Press the buttons

Now it’s time to decide exactly what kind of coffee you want this morning. Every machine is a little different, and the user manual is invaluable at this stage. You just need to know what the little icons use, and you’ll be set for the rest of your relationship with this coffee machine.

With an Innoteck coffee maker, the LCD screen makes things simple. You can use the different programming options to make a course ground cup with lots of water, or a finely ground brew with just a little water to make an espresso. It’s all up to you.

Step 7: Froth your milk

Here comes our favourite trick. With the use of a coffee plunger (we were all there at some point of our coffee journeys, right?) you can make perfectly frothed milk. Remove the inside plunger, ensure that no metal is on the body of the plunger, and warm your milk in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then replace the inside plunger, and move it up and down quickly in the milk. It will create air in the milk, making it perfectly frothy.

Step 8: Bring it all together

You’re ready! Pour your fresh coffee into your mug, add sugar if you prefer, and then pour in the milk. Enjoy every sip, and we’ll be doing the same.

This may seem a little complicated, but trust us, it’s worth it to start your day on a high note every morning. Plus, once you know how to use a coffee pot, every subsequent use will be a breeze! Our coffee machines also have a built-in timer, so you can programme it to make your coffee for you before you’re even out of bed. There is also a hot plate underneath the carafe of the larger machine to keep your coffee warm for up to two hours, so you can hit the snooze button a couple of times.

If you’re not yet convinced, here are the benefits of drinking coffee.
